This is great info for somebody who is looking for that processor, but I think that most people here are not.

If you set a better subject for your thread, you don't have to waste people's time.

I orderd one this morning but only got a email, about verifying my mailing address. funny because i have ordered alot of stuff from them with the same CC. talking to a sales rep they say they got 75 in and as of a few minutes ago they had ~50. sucks though got to wait for a mobo.

it is posted in the cpu threads what else could it have been?

Its still a paper launch right.

You forgot to mention they also have X6800 Extreme and E6300 ($209) available!

Dude how much time of yours did he force you to waste???
He saved me a wholla time for me. If you didn't like the thread, can you just leave it? I'm sure many people will find this thread helpful and thankful to the thread starter.

I wanted to get e6700 but e6600 will suffice, I guess. I'm looking to continually upgrade anyways on need base.

anyways, I was afraid that it was going to be sold out so I bought a Zalman CNPS7700. Is this one good? Man I didn't have time to read or anything lol Just hit the add cart.

hmm
You might have difficulties getting the Zalman CNPS7700 on your motherboard, not much else I can say as I don't, and don't want to, own a zalman.

yeah boy, that p5b mobo is what im getting :).

too bad i got the E6400 for 258.47 shipped ( though i paid 16 bucks extra to get in 3 days )

Awesome!
Too bad there are no good mobo's available for less than $260. No nforce 5, no SLI.
You pay for what you need/want.
If you don't need SLI, but want a good overclocking motherboard look at the P965 Gigabyte GA-965-DQ6 @ around $145.
Good price/performance matchup for E6300-E6600 builds on a budget.

975X chipset can do SLI... you just need hacked drivers thats all[/quote]Or your could wait for a real SLI board and get better performance out of Nvidia's regular drivers.

YOU FAIL
the driver/bios hack doesnt work for all 975x boards and its not 100% stable regardless and performance is subpar compared to a genuine SLI's general subperformance.

back to the OT zzf had some in stock this morning too. and club it still has the e6600

I have that HSF on my system and it is awesome, although, yes it is freaking huge and heavy. Too bad it won't work with your MB, it works really well.

Performance, price, both better than a CNPS9500.

You got the right HSF gm0n3y, don't worry. :)

I looked at the CNPS9500, but it cooling stats were only slightly better and it was about $20 more. Besides, it would have been a tight fit in my case, since it is quite a bit taller that the CNPS7700.
