I recently purchased Counterstrike Source, and whenever I try to play it, my screen turns gray and then fades to black whenever I start to play. I am currently using a 256mb VisionTek Ecstasy 9600(http://www.visiontek.com/products/cards/retail/9600.html)

I have tried using the drivers from the CD, and downloading the newest version of the catalyst from ATI's website, the same error occours each time. The graphics card should be able to play CS:S, since my 9550 could play it relatively well. Does anyone know what I could do?

System specs:
Athlon64 3400+(socket 754)
512mb PC3200
(not sure about the mobo off the top of my head)
Radeon 9600
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP2

be shure to un-install all ATI drivers ( google drivercleaner Pro )
then re-install the card

if that dont work im guessing u have to RMA
