I have a EVGA 7900GT card and wanted to test its stability.

What is a good program to run a test and findout what my benchmark is?

3dMark 05 and 06. You can download the free versions from a number of sites. In order to test stability(for an overclock or new card), I like to loop the test quite a few times. You'll need the Pro version for that and it is out there if you look for it. I also leave the nvidia temperature tab open while running the test, as you can check your temps when it flashes to the desktop in between tests.
