I bought the Nforce3A / Sempron 3100+ deal from Frys a few weeks ago. I brought it home, plugged in 1GB of my cheap generic ram (1 stick of DDR200 PC2100 and one stick of DDR 200 PC2700)

I cranked the HTT up to 250 and it was stable as could be without any further changes to the standard bios settings.

Well, I bought 2 1GB PQI PC3200 DDR400 Single Channel from Frys thinking it would do nothing to affect my overclocking since I got so much out of the cheap ram.

I was wrong. I can't set the HTT over 235 now. If I try to it gives me two long beeps as soon as I exit the BIOS and then puts the BIOS in safe mode.

I've tried adjusting everything with no luck, voltage, RAM speed, etc.

hmm thats weird.it could be the speed of the ram, like i fyou have the ffsb same as the memory, you have to manuallly changed the speed of the ram and not use spd timing
