Why would an HP LaserJet 4200 suddenly start pausing between pages?
The printer is on a network connected with TCP/IP and has 64 Mb of RAM.
It's been sitting in the same spot for a couple of years, and no
changes have been made to the printer itself.
I did remove the hubs from that location and replace them with switches
a couple of weeks ago. Could that be the cause?

Possible. Some 10/100 switches have problems with autosensing Ethernet
speed, and the result is very slow transfers, like 50K/second. That
