I'm getting the e6600 and will OC it to about 3.2 ghz (or as high as it can go with air). The Scythe Ninja is not too expensive...should I go with it or is it overkill for a normal, single GPU system. I have the Antec p180b case.

Thanks!

how do you have your computer oriented is it an upright computer case or a laying down case? I have an upright case and I just can't force myself to put such a huge heatsink on my mobo knowing it will just be hanging there.

If you're looking for performance, the Scythe Infinity seems to be showing incredible results. I'm getting about 44.0C under load with my Zalman 9500 (~32.0C idle), but people are reporting load temps in the 30's for E6600s overclocked to 2.8 - 3.0 GHz when using the Scythe Infinity. Impressive, to say the least. I went with the Zalman 9500 (which I do like) because it was what Fry's had at the time, although the Scythe products seem to be where it's at for cost/benefit ratio.

I got the Ninja on Ebay for less than the Mine costs at Newegg. Oh my freaking gawd is that thing huge!! I have the Antec p180b case and it looks like it will barely fit.
