Serial Attached Hard Drives.

When do we get benchmarks on these.
Most our computers at work use them in raid 0 or single, and they are fast.

Anyone else use them? People with biger budgets should check them out. The smaller sized ones are not much more expencive the rapter 150s.

Raid 0 at work? Is that on workstations? I hope there is content redirection involved there.

We just deployed a iSCSI SAN that uses 8 SATA maxtor 160 drives. On a gigabyte NIC, the performance is the same as the native SCSI drive it's connected mounted to. But I know there are a bunch of benchmarks on Serial hard drive and serial attached SCSI drives.

iSAN would be the storage iSCSI would be the technology, I think. My company resells lefthand network nsm, and the manuals and training interchanged the two, but I'm not positive.
