Sorry about asking this..................pretty sure of the answer but do not want to screw things up...............

On the back of my WD Sata drive there are 2 power connections. One says Sata power and the other says Legacy power (the old type power connector).

Question................Do I just use the Sata power connector and not he legacy or both?

I assume I only use the Sata power...........?

Lenny

THANKS :):)

You can use one or the other. If you don't have any SATA power connectors on your power supply (and no SATA power adapters) you can use the legacy power input.

Do NOT use both at once though.

AND THE PROPHECY HAS SPOKEN!

Yeah I'm just here to agree with him. One or the other but just not both.

The above are correct. The old type power connection is graciously there in case you don't have an SATA connector on your powersupply.
