Burn-in time

How important is burn in time? I just built a new AM2 system with a ASUS mobo and X2 4000+. How long should I burn it in, and what should I run during this time? Should I just leave it on for like 48 hours or run something stressful for a few hours? What exactly is the benefit of doing it and what would happen if I didn't do it?

Well, I like prime 95, set it up to use most of the ram.

And do a min 24 hr burn-in cycle at max temp. Case must be closed up like normal use. Now is the time to find problems so returns want be a problem with the suppliers. 2 weeks from now you have to deal with mfg rma's.
