I just got a Logitech Cordless MX5000 kayboard and MX1000 mouse, they both use bluetooth to connect. However, i'm having issues. In my room i use a 2.4GHz wirelss TV tuner to get a signal from my main TV receiver in my living room.

The Bluetooth is causing MAD interference, making the TV almost unviewable. Is there any way to reduce the interference? any way to sheild my TV receiver from the bluetooth interference? Or generally any way to stop the bluetooth interference?

What wireless TV tuner are you using? If you can change frequencys on the tuner you should be able to find a frequency that has little to no interference. If not then i'm afraid your stuck. Unless you can find a way to get the bluetooth to jump over to another frequency.

it's a radioshack wireless A/V transmitter, it only has 4 frequencies, and i tried them all.

There has to be a way to sheild it from the interference... i thought of putting the tuner in a small faraday cage with one side open facing towards the transmitter??

I think the easiest thing to do would be desiding witch item is more important to you. if it's the tuner the return the keyboaard and mouse. But give the cage a try. But i think you will still have interferance. it may reduce it but it probably won't be a big reduction.

choosing is not an option, a solution must be found!! you sound like u give up to easily...

are the blue toth ites in closer prox to eachother then the tunner?
If so try a cage on the trans/reciever on the PC side. I would think more power would be coming from it then the keyboard and mouse.

the bluetooth hub is about 2 feet directly below the TV reveicer, so i was thinking something like this, if you can decipher my hiroglyphs....

but come on, there have to be more options than making a frickin faraday cage....

Have you tried seperating them.

Your picture isn't showing on my pc.

it's just a jpg... try reloading the page or clicking on it.

i tried seperating them, got a little better once i got about 4 feet away, not much tho.

As far as diagnostics goes my best idea is to use a bluetooth 'cell' phone and try to see if it's bluetooth in general or just bluetooth at a certain frequency.

Just checked this:

- Wikipedia states that bluetooth works on 2.45ghz band (±79mhz) - it looks like bluetooth is going to interfere with your tuner whatever happens.
