i have been having very serious signal receptions problems with my linksys router/wireless nic. I have a linksys befw(something) router and a wmp11 nic. I have one comp hooked up the router via cat5 eth and one wireless comp, about 30 feet away. The wireless computer cannot hold a connection with for more than about 10 minutes, and it frequently loses it's internet connection. I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to help my reception. I know this is a basic and somewhat non-tech related question, but if anyone knows, please help. I also live in a big city, in an apartment building, so there is probably lots of interferance from neighbour's devices etc

WSB24 Wireless Signal Booster, 802.11b

Turn up the volume on your Wireless LAN! The Linksys Wireless Signal Booster piggybacks onto your Linksys Wireless Access Point (or Wireless Access Point Router) to increase the effective range and coverage area of the 802.11b network.

The added signal strength also helps speed up your close-range communications, because every packet comes through "loud and clear", reducing retransmissions due to reception errors.

To install, just stack the Wireless Signal Booster on your Access Point, move the antennas to the Booster, and attach the Booster's twin cables to the Access Point -- no drivers or modifications to your setup are necessary.

The Linksys Wireless Signal Booster saves wiring costs and helps to build corporate wireless infrastructure by driving signals even into those distant, reflective corners and hard-to-reach areas.

And it's perfect for covering large areas in warehouse environments, public spaces, wireless hotspots, and outdoor venues -- anywhere you need extra coverage for your wireless LAN.

I agree.. the WSB24 worked wonders for my G network at home. However, you should really shop around for a good deal.. in Singapore (where I live), the price ranges from S$220 to S$300.. around USD$122 to USD$167
