It has $100 rebate. Since I will build my Conroe not until Oct, should I get it now?

Depends. What video card were you originally planning to get in Oct.?

Similar class and price.
Do you think I can get a better card with the same price in Oct?

Maybe. There's really no way of telling. I'd probably go ahead and buy that one now, $279 is a great price for an X1900XT.

Yup thats what I did and I also mounted 2 120mm fans underneath the card. blowing addition air up to the card dropped me another 8deg celicius.

I have my X1900XT running at 730 core and 832 mem with Idle of 40c and peaks of 54c. Keep in mind this is in the middle of hot summer in NC!

The only problem with the accelero 2 is that it doesn't expel air outside of the case.. but that doesn't really matter when it is quiet and cools better!

Listen as long as your case has good air flow you will have no problems with the board heating up. My case has excellent airflow and my temps on the board did not even rise 1 deg C after installing the accelero.

I dont know too many people dumb enough to run an X1900XT in a case with crappy cooling anyway.

I have that same card and have no issues with overheating, can overclock it well past XTX speeds 700/800 easy. $279 is a absolute steal, wait on the aftermarket hsf I think you will be mroe than happy with the stock.

Have you guys seen the review on the new x1950xtx.. looks absolutely amazing x1950xtx review

I was going to get the HIS x1900xt, but for $40 more I can get almost a 20% increase (well worth it).

If I were you I would wait two weeks
