Hey guys, it's been awhile since I built my old system and I'm looking for some advice on this new system I'm building. The thing is I'm not spending as much on memory this time around.
While looking on newegg I found a sale where I can get a 512Mb stick of Mushkin for $44.99, which is apparently twenty five dollars cheaper then usual: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146090
Also, if I wanted to buy the same thing in a 1GB kit with two 512Mb sticks it costs $139.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146092
So wouldn't it be best to just buy the 512Mb sticks seperately. I could run them in dual channel and have the same thing as a kit and also save quite a bit of money, right? I mean it sounds like a good deal but is has been a while since I built my last system and I want to make sure I'm not forgetting something. Any comments?
