dual setup bios

Here's something I never ran across before. I bought an Athlon 64 x2 4800 processor, put it on an Asus a8n32sli deluxe motherboard, and had to set my bios up twice. Seems odd, but once for each core ? Anybody else run across this ?

What do you mean by set it up twice?

I think perhaps you just pressed 'exit discarding changes' the first time

No, thats not what happened. Had to set it up twice.

Like how? You set it up, then exited, then booted again and had to set everything up again?

That board only has one BIOS. I still reckon you pressed discard instead

I set up the bios, let the machine boot, as it was booting, and loading windows, I could tell it didn't take. The bios change did not take effect. The second time I set it up, it saved. First time I ever had to set a bios up twice. It was like each core needed it's own bios setup..... I kid you not.
