Since DX10 is arround the corner but will be Overpriced on the firsts months and im running my PC with my backup card (ati x550pro) what should i do??? wait for the DX10 or spend right now 600 bucks for the 7950GX2.

Depends on what you want. I am buying either a 7900gt or x1800xt for now and will buy a new, high end GPU next summer.

i though that but the thing is that if it worth it or if is a waste of money because DX10 will drop the prices for dx9 base cards, or at least that is what i think.

Again, it depends on what YOU want. If you get a 7950 now for $500+ it seems like a waste if you will be upgrading to a DX10 card next year.

with games like CRYSIS ( theeeee game of 2007) using DX10.... spending 500 bucks for end of cycle dx9 cards is foolish


your backup card really sucks bad.... i would get like a 7600 GS for 150 bucks and over clock it to tide u over till the big dogs hit the market...then 7600 can be your much better back up card

thats true i stress this video card that burns, i play wow and i never turn of the computer, it is always or playing or doing some video editing :S

Yeah well given only the choices I would wait but if you wan't one now then get X850GTO for it is able to play all current games and you don't have to spend a furtune. Comes next next year when you updgrade to DX10 cards then you should saved up enough money to pawn one.

yeah you are right that is the best choice spend like 100 bucks and wait 5 months for new DX10 cards
