As we should all know by now. SLI cost to performance vs single better card doesnt quite cut the mustard. eg 7600gt in SLI vs A single 7900gt.
However for SLI to become a greater possibility could GPU card manafactures make specific Slave cards for SLI thereby lowering costs.

Items that could be removed for example being DVI sockets ect...
I dont know if this idea has ever occured before but im just sugeesting that it may be possible and might be a viable option for GPU manafactures.

What do you peeps think?

Well, SLI requires two cards of the same chipset, and I doubt removing the DVI ports on the back of the video cards will reduce the cost of them much.
