i heard about this a while ago, for a hdd tech not cpu. it could store alot more data than normal drives but the problem was that it decayed or something of the sorts

i'll try to find the link

I remember reading in a company "newsletter", that we were trying to use some sort of filament type material to make semiconductors, but it just wouldn't hold the gates or via's correctly, or something like that.

This is interesting, though. Not sure how well it would do on silicon, or when thermals are applied, but it would be nice to see. I just hope my fab doesn't do it, cause it sounds messy to clean up after.
