Hey. I am considering upgrading the video card in my PC. I have a 9600XT. I am considering an ATI X1600PRO 256MB or NVIDIA 6800XT 256MB. Games I play include FEAR, Quake 4, COD 2. I have a sempron 64 2800+ and 1.25GB of RAM. The price difference in cards doesn't matter. Does anyone have advice on which card to buy?

Since the 6800XT in your link has high memory clock speeds than the reference 6800XT, it would be the better performer. But much better than both would be the X800XL or AIW X800XT on ATI's website:

refurb, but 1 year warranty. I bought one and it is fine, came with all cables/adaptors/software.

I agree with Paul. 6800XT is crap, and the x1600pro isn't that great either.

x800xl is a good card, should last you for a good amount of time

Not true anymore; here is a review of the new X1600XT AGP.
