as you can see im on a budget so i would appreciate no suggestions of 7900GT's instead.....

basically, i just want to make sure that im not buying any duff parts and that its all compatible. i am open to suggestions of any methods of lowering cost/increasing performance though, thanks for reading and happy computing

its a nice setup.......

is there room in your budget to go from a xfx graphics card to a asus 7600gs?

its like a 20 dollar/euro difference........and in my opinion worth it.....

Not so much for specs....but build/material quality and there for more often bit more stable operation as well as less noisy picture....

I dont think I have ever heard of that ram, but the 7600GS, is not worth it. I suggest a 7600GT or 7600GTKO. The price between the 2 is low, but the difference will show. GS is underclocked and i think(i may be wrong) but i think has 2 less pipelines than the GT or the GTKO have.

nope gs....same amount of pipelines....just lower clocked ram (DDR2)

can come close to gt performance.....

Performance example: It plays WOW 1680x1050 all settings maxed......no problemo

HL2 1680x1050 almost all eye candy on......no problemo
