Pipelines on eVGA 7600GT OC

i do believe the 7600gt has only 12 pipes
and you cant open up anymore.

as far as the overclock you probably cant go to
much higher because it is clocked so high already.

My brother has a sparkel 7600gt and he unlocked the pipes with rivatuner

and what happened after he unlocked those extra pipes???did the card increase its over all performance?did it crash?lock-up?or artifact?or did it do nothing?that is what the person wants to know.

i have tried unlocking extra pipes on a 6600gtand was unsuccessful.i actually had to re-install my os due to card malfunction.but the re-install went fine and my card turned out ok.still with stock pipes.so i guess you take a chance and see what happens.good luck.

He unlocked his pipes today so the crashing(yay!) might only start happening later

The 6600GT is the highest example of that core, there are no pipes to unlock, the silicon only has 8. If any utility says otherwise it is bugged or lieing.

The G73 core in the 7600GT has 12 pipelines, there should also be none to unlock here. If rivatuner says that there are it is incorrect.

Yep thats correct. The 7600GT cannot be unlocked anymore, u can OC just a bit further with a Volt Mod, but thats about it.
