My Ipaq 3900 lost it's audio. Headphones work thought. Is it possible to
get this repaired? I'm assuming that the speaker needs to be replaced.

If it is repairable where might I find a place.
Thanks,
Bob

You can probably restore this your self. Just insert and extract the
headphone plug a number of times quickly. Most PPCs have an issue that the
mechanical bits that cut out the speaker when headphones are inserted get
stuck occasionally. Exercising (or exorcising) them usually breaks it free.

I also have a iPAQ 3975, that lost sound from the speaker. Headphones work,
but no speaker. I also have a Navman SE that does not work either. It
can't find the CF card or port. Probably something shorting out?
Did you have any luck with yours?
Thanks,
Cliff

Well i tried what Sven said and no luck. So I got this big needle and was
poking around in the hole and tring to move things, and all of a sudden
the sound came on. But when I pulled the needle out the sound went out. So
I tried prying a little piece of, I think metal, away from the wall and
now it works! So Sven was right, something just got stuck. And I
reinstalled my Navman GPS software and it works too!

Pretty much it has to be a mechanical issue if the headphones work and the
speaker doesn't. The wire from the audio output section goes to the
headphone jack first and is then routed to the speaker. Inserting the
headset routes the audio out and breaks the physical connection to the
speaker. Removing the headset, should restore the physical connection.
