Windows 7 Pro and backup

Hi

I am wondering if windows 7 pro's backup will backup a custom system. The custom part is in the creation of linked folders on the system disk to seperate drive system in the same system... ie,

c:\users hard linked to d:\links\users ... similar to creating a mapped drive, only it's a folder on a seperate hard drive, for which the c: above would be an SSD, basically trying to setup a system that does minimal writting to the SSD.
Now.... having said all that and maybe lost a few of you, does windows 7 backup, backup the system and links and restore the links in the same way... HDD links would most likely not be removed if the system where to havve to be restored.

Another thing.... would a 60GB SSD be sufficient for roughly 40GB or would I need a bit more....

Links are just files liek anything else on the hard drive. They will get backed up. Now, will the backup follow links? That I'm not sure of, so if the link is pointing to a different partition or hard drive, those may not get backed up. You can always try it yourself.

According to these guys, it does follow links.
