ERRG why is it always in JAPANESE...

And what is the difference between that and a x2 5000+, its the same clock speed?

Don't think i'm not interested because everyone knows I like AMD

I swear that somebody already posted this and claimed it was K8L, or something else like that.

EDIT: Got confused - Parrot posted a very similar thread from the same webshite for a 65nm AMD CPU:

The THG Thread
The CPU (In Trad. Chinese)

It can't be, or is very unlikely, because this chart shows two versions of the 5200+, one 90nm that fits this updated schedual, and another thats 65nm. :?

WTF is a x2 5200+? I can't figure it out. I've found all these stats on it but most don't match up. Some say its got 2x1mb cache, some say its got new tech, some says its a renamed fx-62 with locked muliplier. But the common theme is that it is more expensive than any processor out right now so WTF!! :?

AHA... this may be an unrealiable source, but it answers some of my questions. It seems the 5200 is a lower power version of the 5000, but i read elsewhere it might have 2x1mb cache. That still doesn't seem to justify the prices i've seen for it though.

Forum link thingy lol

I think the only difference is that it has 1mb cache per core instead of 512kb with the X2 5000+.

but AMD better improve there new cpu's alot more then just adding more cache to compete with the core duo2. but it might be enough to outpeform the 6600 core duo 2 by a small margin.

It also definatly has a low tdp of 65w, i've seen that one several times now.

I'm not sure about the cache but i guess we'll see. :?

why does it say 2005 on the cpu?

It's actually Chinese (Taiwan) and most of the major ODMs and sys builders are in Taiwan(80% of systems) so they get everything first. Chips, etc go from the manuf to Taiwan.

I was hoping they would wait for 65nm to do the next X2 speed bump, but I guess.....

shows u how fast they are on putting out 65nm huh....honestly they need to put out smaller chips before they need zalman cooling as a standard

Anand did test of the stock AMD HSF and it was good enough to cool the CPU at a 30% OC. AMD has been steadily LOWERING POWER on X2/Opteron. Sun has Opterons running at 30W. They will be there and then you will have some other complaint so it's like in one ear out your a s s. Or is it out your ear and IN your a s s?

well it dosnt change the fact that they need 65nm chips, constent speed increases with 90nm isnt gonna get them anywhere, i was making an exaggeration, but thats my point, dont get ur panites in a bind, and if ur gonna swear dont be a wuss about it or dont do it at all...or can ur ass not handle that

u can at least link ur article, and before u go on, im not some intel fanboy, my nxt purchase will be an am2 system with an x2

anyways clam down i was joking, some of u ppl take things too seriously, ths is a forum not a court debate

So you're saying that wasn't funny?

Exactly.....5000+ is nowhere to be seen, 5200+ will be even more extinct. Or are they gonna hoard these also, until after school starts?

PS...This is so.................................................Netburst! A succession of small MHz increases to appease the fans(with not much power increase).

There has been no paper launch on any processor talked about right now. Conroe was a hard launch, and so was AM2. These supply issues are a combination of bullt up demand waiting for AM2, price drops, and conroe... normal deman, and also back to school demand. This has nothing to do with a paper launch.

ANd back on this, i don't get what this processor is for. It seems to be a lower power 5000+ with possibly 2x1mb cache, neither of which account for the prices i've seen on many websites at much more than an FX-62. :?

Nope the amd x2 5000 is a paper launch it was released before conroe , ive been looking for a long time, looked on many forums and found less then a handful out there and am not sure if there not engineering samples. but the good news is the longer i wait for it the more i save up.
this x2 5200 caught me off guard..
