Well i was selling PC's as you know. Well im thinking of this.

4 PC Mini-Clusters !!! All using Solaris 8 from Sun. These are my new fleet of servers. Right now im using the low end model for now trying out all the power of clusters.

Low End: 4 systems total = $1900
Celeron 733 w/ FOP32
128mb PC100 SDRAM
i810 Mobo (Video, Sound)
15gb ATA66
(2) 10/100tx Fast Ethernet

Mid-end: 4 system's total =$2700
AMD Duron 900 w/ FOP38
128mb PC2100 DDR-SDRAM
ALi Magik 1(Sound)
ATi Rage PRO 8mb
PCI Raid card
(2)20gb ATA100 (RAID 1)
(3) 10/100tx fast ethernet

High-end: 4 system's total = $4300
Dual P3 800 w/ FOP38
256mb PC133 DDR-SDRAM
Serverworks chipset
ATi Rage Pro 8mb, Sound Blaster 16
(2) 9.1gb 10,000rpm scsi3
D-Link 800mb Ethernet(DFE570TX)

Any idea's to make this better. I'm aiming at Small Business. Well i'll love those friendly feedback.

Hey, are you buying or selling those systems? It sounds like you're selling them, but aren't those prices high? I have no idea what retail prices are anymore, but that seems like a large markup...are those prices for 4 systems?

Yeah there a 4pc Beowulf clusters "aka mini super computers". <A HREF="http://www.beowulf.org" target="_new">http://www.beowulf.org</A> there for database work and resreach for science. Well making them are hard and there 4 pc's acting as 1 pc.

Well Suse linux 7.1 is the OS now i changed it.
