Hi there.
I have an Omnibook XE3, P3 700, 192MB memory.

I was thinking of upgrading the memory. Most people say that 192MB are enough and I dont really need to. I can see many computers - even with WinXP come with 128MB. So I need your opinion.

I have 2 modules. originally the pc came with 64MB, I added another 128MB. I have heard that some notebooks have the first ram module "stuck" on the motherboard, so you can change only the 2nd... slot.
Does anyone know if this is true for the HP Omnobooks also?
I have sent mails to HP, they haven't answered me.

thanx

192 should be plenty of ram. I'm sure M$ could screw up a wet dream and with their software bloat someday make it to where you need more just to boot windows but for now you have plenty of ram. Most apps do not make full use of available ram in the first place. Ram is most important if you are doing more then one thing at once or if your software is.
