Hi all, I live in Delhi, India. I am a 3d artist basically work on 3d’s max & maya but my biggest problem is to find suitable hardware and even if I find it they are comparatively much expensive in India as compare to price given on www.pricegrabber.com & www.newegg.com. I request u people if u know some sites which supports international shipments to India please tell me as these two sites don’t support international shipping. I googled it but of no use as I have not been able to find any site that make shipment to India.
Tarun, while it's really a grey area, if you have a friend or relative who is already living in the US or Canada, you can have the item shipped to them, and then ship from there to India. I have a friend here who does this on a regular basis to Russia (not because price as much as availablility). You will have to declare the value of the items in question and pay whatever customs are due, though, so take this into account when you plan on doing this. At one time, you could declare the item as a gift and worth less than $100, but most customs officials are onto this and have become a lot more draconian, and the fines are much more expensive than the taxes.
As far as finding a reseller who is willing to deal with international orders, you will find very few who work in the US/Canadian retail market. There is just too much liability when you are dealing with consumer sales and laws outside of their native market. And those you do find will almost always charge a premium for dealing with international shipping.
