Hi all,

I want to hook up my PC to my new LCDTV (with DVI) to surf the net. My computer has an AGP 8X slot, but I see so many AGP cards with DVI and TV out....from $50 to $250+.

I don't have much $ left after the TV  , so I'm thinking a 256MB DDR is enough to show a good picture?? What's a reasonable price and/or card you guys might suggest?

Thanks!! :D

Thanks for the advise. Any particular brand that's worked well for you or that you'd recommend:

MSI, Diamond Steath, PNY, ATI?

For a 2D use...any card with DVI will do the job just fine.
LCDTV isnt something "special" to use "special" hardware.

Depending on the resolution you want to use, you may need 256M. I don't have the numbers handy to post, but I will poke around and see if I can find them, but if you intend to run high res/def, you'll need 256.

What is the native resolution of your T.V. That can be found in the manual... Is it 480 720p 1080i or 1080p HDTV? What brand and model?

Thanks for all the suggestions. This 32" Soyo lcdtv is 1080i, so I'd like to take full advantage of the resolution of the TV when I surf the net.

I'm thinking of just dedicating a pentium 4 celeron computer for surfing using this TV. I don't need much in this computer, right? :D
