New Tattoo :D

Waiting for it to heal up before I decide if I want more white in it, but I love it!!

White Lilies, but I wanted a bit more colour in them since my skin is so white Hence the blue shades.

Everyone kept telling me that the ribs hurt like a bitch to get done... but it really wasn't that bad! A couple spots were teeth clenching, but the rest of it was a breeze, I nearly fell asleep!

Nice, I am still deciding what I want to get for my first tattoo. Girlfriend just got a butterfly on the front of her hip.

I want something around my bicep but I am pretty big right now and I'm afraid when I get older and workout less, or more cardio and less lifting, that whatever I get will be all crinkled up and stupid looking.

The best idea yet is getting the writing from inside "the one ring" around my arm. I had it drawn on with black marker and it actually looks really cool and even though it's ultra nerdy and doesn't fit my physique at all, I think it would be cool to have. For people that don't know what it is, they would just think it's some cool tribal writing or something.

Not every Lord of the Rings/PC gaming/PC building geek is pale and scrawny or pale and fat.

But around my bicep. How do they charge for tattoos? My biceps are like 19" but I can take a week or two off from arm work if it would save me money on a tattoo I do know a girl that does them outside of the shop but I don't know if I trust her that much.

And being that there are people cutting off dog heads around here I don't know if I should get it in St. Paul 8O

Cool thanks. There is a place called Fluid Ink that is about a block from my dorm and was featured on one of those tattoo shows for having two really good artists. It's not in the best neighborhood but it is really clean and well kept inside so I think I trust it.

Is $80ish an hour a standard rate? It took about an hour for my girlfriend's butterfly but it has colors and was more intricate than my all black tattoo.

I might go talk to them tonight, if they aren't busy they usually will draw an example wherever you want with fine tipped Sharpie's for free. I will post a pic if I get it drawn on and see what you guys think.

WTF is up with guys getting some kind sun-like tribal tattoo in the small of their back? I've seen a couple dudes with this and it raises a few questions about them? I thought only women did that or did I miss something?

Heh, hurry your ass up and get a new drive then. I am very impressed with the Raptor's performance, people say you can't notice a difference in load times and stuff but that is bull. I load to desktop in about 20 seconds and shutdown about the same.

No, you don't think you need more GBs and a new drive, you know it.

As for loading times, press on button -> desktop in 28 seconds on a SATAII WD HDD (not a Raptor).

To be honest, though, I've worked on Raptor-based systems and all I can say is 'wow'. The only reason I don't have a Raptor in my box is that little word 'yet'. Down here in SA they're a tad pricey.

I still prefer Seagate for servers, though. Personality quirk, my answer to the WD vs Seagate argument.

Maxtor = crap. I do possess a 30GB Maxtor, though, which I use for testing out OSes. If the OS can survive my 'PC of DOOMED instability' for 3 months, it's a good, stable OS.
