Windows Media Centre Edition & Asus P5W DH Deluxe

Hi people, i'm new to this forum and was hoping someone could help, i'm looking at doing a system upgrade and have my eye on the e6600 cpu and asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo and was wondering if the remote which comes with that mobo can be configued to control my windows media centre edition. Also i'm aware windows Vista is coming in the next 6 months and was woundering if its worth holding out till then to upgrade my graphics card as direct x 10 should be relesed around the same time. Or does this not matter.

I too had a question about this but not about DX10. I wanted to know if this motherboard has the capabilities (or if I need a special powersupply also) to record television on a timer and to record without the computer being on full power like those newer MCE PC's work.
