Would anybody be so kind to tell me an exact date?? and if you can provide the source where you get that from, that would be great too =]

DX10 and Vista are scheduled to be released today at 6:21:26pm in Elbonia first, then the rest of the world after we've all upgraded to AMD 9000+.

ill answer your question and not spam and be morons like the other people who replied....

Vista and DX10 are still under going development and bug testing they say around Q1 of 2007 but my best guess is late in Q2. as for DX10 cards i havent heard anything about a release date only that it will use GDDR4 memory and SDRM 4.0

thanks, I know theyll smoke any DX9 card for sure but in any case I must buy any avaible technology by december because im building it abroad, and the ill upgrade to second generation DX10 card or something maybe a year from now. I hope the 65nm AMD processors will be avaible by december too, ive read some stuff but its vague. thanks for the info!

If you must have and i mean MUST have a computer build by Dec. I say go with the conroe Core 2 Duo and w/e other stuff you gonna buy also i suggest you buy a cheap GFX like a 6600GT or 6800XT that would hold you till the DX10 cards come out. but if you can wait and have paitence hold off on your current build and wait say 6 month to a year as it seems the computer world is on a rocket right now growing faster and faster with something new and better every month its seems. A year from now that 1500+$ awsome build of yours will be reduced to a mear 400+$. Take it from me i learned the hardway =/.

If you'd been around long enough, and did a search you'd see why a lot of people (not morons) are getting sick of post like this. These mutiple post could be avoided by a simple search.

Microsoft's last official statement was that Vista would be released "when it is ready" and that it could be the "second half of 2007, or could be sooner, or later".

Sadly yes, my deadline is for dec 20th. and Ive had that debate of going for conroe, but I would really like going for AMD this time. I was planning on getting the X2 3800+ and overclocking it until some other high end processor would become affordable. And as for Vista and the DX10 cards, since that seems like its going to take year or so, I think ill go for the 7900GT and sit tight until I can get a good stable DX10 card along with an OEM copy of the OS lol

I was in the same boat as you, as far as video cards go, and was going to get a 7600gt to hold me off but i went ahead and got the 7900gt....because i like to run full settings ;)
