The only place i can find info is on novatech.com. Does anyone know when this monitor is coming to america? Is it a tn panel? thats what novatech says. I was planning on buying a viewsonic vx2025 till I learned about this monitor which is supposedly being released for $399, which would be sweet for a 22 inch lcd. Any info would be awesome! thanks guys! One more thing the vx2021 is about $100 dollars cheaper than the vx2025 at newegg, should I still go for the vx2025?
I was the same as you, in the fact that I had to choose a wide screen monitor. I went for the VX2025 as the monitor you are thinking of getting had just be announced and was a very long way (2 months) from being put on retail.
The VX2025 is a very good monitor and I am extremely happy with it but if I was to choose now I would wait the 2 weeks and get the VX2235 as for a start it is 2”s bigger and has a better response time with the same contrast ratio.
Oh and I think I seen it for less on pixmania or something.

Did u played any new games/HD movies with it?
How is the perf of that monitor with those games?
The VX2235wm has arrived! I just bought two of them yesterday from Fry's Electronics, Woodland Hills, CA and brought them home.
I had purchased 2 Factory Reconditioned 21" Viewsonic G810 (CRT's) last year from them with 5 year Service Contracts. One of them recently went south on me. Turned out it was "Uneconomical to repair." When I explained I was using a dual monitor setup and really wanted to continue with matched monitors, they made me a special deal on two of the VX2235wm's. The regular price was $399.00 as you mentioned.
This morning I Googled them to find out if I'd made made a decent deal or not and was surprised to find they were apparently so new in the US, they were basically unknown here!
I found you post just now and wanted to respond. I haven't even plugged them in, so I can't give you my opinion yet.
But sometime today after I wrestle the old CRT away and make room for these two lightweights (compared to the brute) I'll see what's what.
[quote="ss_rakesh"]it is nice to hear that at least some one brought this monitor please write some review /performance of this monitor.
So far, I'm still fiddling with the setup stage. I have an older ATI 9250 dual-monitor card VGA/DVI so I have one of the VX2235's connected to the DVI digital and the other to a VGA analog jack. The ATI software has been a real pain to setup dual operation so I've only been using it a short time so far and can’t yet give you much of a review. A new ATI dual DVI video card is on order.
My only usage is the Internet, Office stuff, and some digital photography. No gaming or flashy graphics. But from what I'm seeing the downloaded "WebShots" wallpaper are absolutely stunning displays.
Per the forum FAQ's, I need a "publicly accessible web server" in order to post an image, so you're out of luck. But to see "how big it is" there's a VX2235 Specsheet PDF file that can give you a pretty good idea of size and all other characteristics. Look under Product Details on the right side of that page available at:
i'm also looking at this monirtor, does it support HDCP?
And does it come with a DVI cable?
It comes with both a VGA cable and a DVI cable. Since it has built-in speakers, they also include a speaker cable. I wouldn't say that I'm particularly fond of the speakers though, but maybe that's just me.
This post seems dated. But you can buy the vx2235 from Costco for $350, provided you have membership. With a coupon from Coston, it'll drop it to $300, which is a very good value considering Costco offers lifetime warranty on all its prodcuts. I'm going to grab one tomorrow

I saw the COSTCO coupon and was curious what the final price was. I planned to check next time we shopped. That COSTCO "lifetime warranty on all it's products" is news to me, though. I bought my wife a 20.1" Princeton flat-panel from them last year. SO, I'd like to hear more about that warranty if you have any details.
Actually, I got my first vx2235 from Fry's as a replacement for a failed ViewSonic 21" CRT under their Service Contract. Since I had two of those CRT's in a dual-monitor setup, they gave me a good price on the second vx2235. I'm very pleased with the 2235's. I'm sure you will be, also.

Can I ask what is coston coupon?
How can I get that coupon?
Thanks
I'm sorry I didn't state it very clearly. It's not really a warranty, but a 100% guarantee on all merchandise purchased from Costco. It doesn't repair your product, but you can return it for refund. Anytime you're not satisfied with a product you purchased, you can return it to Costco for a full-refund provided it's in good working condition. It's listed on the return policy behind the customer service counter. The exceptions are desktop and laptops, which only carry a 6-month guarantee from Costco. Of course foods are exceptions as well lol.
So let's say your princeton flat-panel is having dead pixels or you're not satisfied after one year of use, you can return it to costco for a full refund or exchange for a new one.
Someone else please confirm this Costco policy. I'm fairly certain about it though.

Costco is a wholesale warehouse, just like Sam's Club. It requires paid membership. As a member you will receive monthly coupons from Costco.
I just bought this monitor tonight, and it absolutely is amazing! Beats the pants off my HP's 15.4" HD Brightview widescreen (1280x800). This Viewsonic has a 1680x1050 rez...
one question, could you import an american monitor to the uk (england) and use it as the power supply would be different because of the three pins to plug it into the wall....or could i just use a different power supply?

I think all you need is a transformer, available lost anywhere in the UK. I sent about two dozen HD DVD players there a few months ago, and that's what all the buyers did.
Actually, you might be fine. Spec sheet says "AC 100-240V, 50-60 Hz (auto switch)". So you might just need to use a UK-type power cord...
Just to let you know, Costco has the VX2235wm for a price of $349.99. I had a coupon for $50 and my net was $299.99. Check COSTCO.COM, you can order these online as well.

...plus $15.91 S/H, plus maybe your local sales tax...
Still, this monitor rocks!! I tried to force myself to go with a smaller 20" Princeton monitor (also bought locally from same Costco) as the Viewsonic takes up valuable real estate in my computer armoire, but can't downsize now from the 22"! I compared them one at a time for a few hours, but for a few $$ more, the extra 2" of screen is worth it. Esp. useful when working with two documents side-by-side as you can see everything without squinting.
And an articulating LCD mount helped free up some of the real estate...
The 20" Princeton is going back this weekend...and it's not even a week old.
The bottom line is that the ViewSonic VX2235 is a good buy for the money but there are better monitors out there if you're willing to spend more. That said, it is a bargain and that's a good thing.
