i am not a computer engineer or ne thing but i was reading the article about quad sli and how it can be slower than regular sli because of the driver overhead on the cpu, couldn't nvidia make one of the four gpus handle this when they are not being fully used? does this make sense?

from what I understand it could only possibly be slower at lower resolutions / low quality settings.

However if you crank the resolution and eyecandy it will beat them all hands down.

If you are using 4xSLI at anything @ or lower than 1024x768 without all the eyecandy turned on you are seriously misusing QuadSLI.
