Remove Write protect from HDD

I have a write protected Buffalo HDD and I need to know how to remove the protection. I use windows 7 Pro.
Please advise! Thank you.

  1. Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

    If there isn't a physical switch, right click it and go to Properties then see if Autoplay is an option. If it is, there should be a setting in there to tick or untick.
