Is the DQ6 worth the near-100$ premium over the DS3 for a e6600? I would like to OC close to 3ghz on a decent air cooling set up for gaming.

what about the ds4? that should bridge the gap it has all the features the dq6 has except...

no crazy cool
4 or 6 phase power
no e sata

dq6 has
quad cooling (crazy cool doesnt boe too well with after market coolers but it does shave a few degrees off the cpu temp. heatsinks and heatpipe look good though)
quad bios (its not actualy 4 different bioses but 1 real one and 3 backup ones ..at least i think)
quad dimm slots (not actually a feature most if not all modern motherboards have 4 dimm slots)
quad triple phase ( this is actually good where it excels :D )
quad e-sata (its alright i guess but the sata ports are actually only expansion port things not integrated onto the back I/O)

oh and the dq6 has a better CPU voltage selection than the ds3. and i think it has a better biosthan the ds3

The DQ4 is not available in Canada. I have decided to splurge on the Asus P5W DH Deluxe because I don't want to deal with RAM issues.

Might want to look at the P5B, even though you already got the best mobo, but I'm hearing decent things about the P5B and the deluxe version. It turns out to be a good overclocker, only thing that bothers me is that there is no cool remote =(

good good i think i'll get the ds4 then well i got until next week anyway so i have a little time to change my mind if needed :D
this should be my setup, is it all alright? i mean for the amount of money im gonna pay (value for money)?

i am definatly overclocking
:D
the main things

core 2 duo e6400
gigabyte 965p-ds4
corsair 1gb xms2 ddr2-667 cas 4 (up voltage for tighter timings and higher clock speed then sync ram with fsb)
sapphire 1900gt (w/sapphire select, yey! free game :D )
akasa zen case black (x2 120mm fans )
enermax 500w liberty
coolermaster aquagate watercooler ( i think its old but still i think itll look nice and it should be equivelent to a good air cooler, right)
artic silver 5
for around £675 at scan inc delivery how do i show the shoping list as when i do it comes out blank?
thanks for any help

All your setup looks find except the RAM and cooling.
Which RAM depends on how far you're planning to push your E6400.
what about this
corsair ddr2 800mhz cas 5
what about upping the voltage on this and lowering the latencies. i hope to achive a 400mhzfsb or higher meaning i can rum the ram at a 1:1 ratio, and have lower latencies from upping the voltage, right?

yahoo! thanks so i'll get the ddr2 800 then, a few pounds more but a lot more headroom for overclocking :D
oh and is the zalman 9500led/9500at (or sythe ninga plus) better than the coolermaster aquagate i suggested ?
thanks
