First off what is your budget?

The CPU you have listed is for the 939socket therefore it will not be compatible with your socket AM2 mobo. Get the socket AM2 version of that CPU.

two big things jump out at me.

1) If you are prepared to drop ~650 bones on a CPU go with a conroe E6700; the AMD FX CPU's are now one of the worst price/performance chips, now that the intel core 2 duos are out.

2) if you really want an AMD system your sockets don't match up; the mobo you listed is socket AM2 and the CPU you picked is socket 939

Stay away from the FX-62 . . . it's just not worth it.

Zipzoomfly also bests newegg's prices, and I've had great luck with their service in the past. X2 4600+ (89 watt) or the X2 4600+ (65 watt) for $100 more.

You can always upgrade to a faster AM2 or AM3 processor when they come available, but these procs will be more than enough muscle for most of today's games.

That HSF you listed is for 775 mobos, if you're headset on AMD since you've already bought the mobo, make sure you get THIS if you're deadset on the Zalman, there are other HSF out there if realy liked the blue LED, this one has a Green one but its made for the AM2 board.

Also check the mobo manufature's website for memory compatibility, i've heard trouble with that board and some kinds of memory. Two Corsair XMS Sex sticks will do you well.

The nForce 5 boards from asus have had some issues with memory on the standard BIOS version. Although I have to admit the crosshair is still too new to say if it's also affected. If you want to be sure I advise the Corsair PC6400C4 instead.

get a core 2 duo they are good overclockers and they beat most x2 and the fx62. The e6400 is almost in all benchmarks faster than the fx 62 and its cheaper. Get an intel core 2 duo its better for down the road and faster.
