this is a warning that I recieve on the DNS test. What does this mean and
how can I fix/ this is one server out of three in the same domain.


[WARNING] Cannot find a primary authoritative DNS server for the name
servername.domain.com.'. [ERROR_TIMEOUT]

It means that you are either pointing to the wrong DNS,
it isn't reachable, or that that DNS has some problems
most likely with the authority records.

The simple way: Point all server interfaces to a single domain
DNS server (no secondaries) temporarily. Make sure that
dynamic updates are enabled on all DNS servers.

Run two netdiag /fix passes on all DCs. A second pass of
netdiag /fix should be reasonably clean. (If not something more
basic is wrong.)

After the DNS changes replicate through AD you can point
DNSen back as required on each server.

If your environment doesn't allow you to approach the problem
this way it has to be diagnosed more fully.
