X1800XT vs X1900GT

Similar prices, what would make the smarter buy?

I don't think the X1900 GT beats the X1800 XT at anything. It comes very close sometimes, but I don't think it beats it.

X1900 GT memory is very slow compared tot he X1800 XT. The X1800 XT is the way to go.

I see, that makes sense from reading the specs.

What exactly are the differences between the X1800XT and the X1900XT? I see that the X1900XT boasts 48 pixel shaders(the X1800XT doesn't imply this), but besides that i don't see any difference between them in speed or other specs.

Any new technology improvements i'm missing?

X1900GT is good for its pricerange around 250+ but i would just got for the X1900XT as it is basically a X1900XTX but with 25mhz less core speed. That card would and will blow everything out of the water preforms very well in 3dmark05/06

Edit: Found X1900XT for a mere 320$!!!! payed that much for my 7900GT =/

Doesn't X1800XT have a slightly faster memory than X1900XT (1.5 ghz vs 1.45 ghz)?
