Does anyone know anything about "confidential" processors? I bought some on ebay. most have Dell on them. they dont have the normal speed, Mhz, voltage and spec/stepping codes on them. where to they come from? What is the impact of funning a 3.2ghz confidential in a dual processor workstation with a normal CPU of the same Ghz? any information is appreicated, thanks. Ron

My father has a dual-processor server and I think they have to be identical to work...It might work, but, as you mentioned, there are factors that come into play than just the Ghz, like voltage or cache. Not sure what that would do if you tried, though...
