I'm going to be putting together a new system in the next couple of weeks and I have been looking at some cases and I have come across this one at newegg.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811144137

I know some psu's that come with these cases like this have been unreliable but its 500watt, does it seem okay? I dont know what to look for on psu's but in the pictures it shows the rails and output and all that can someone help me with this?

Thanks

You could have posted the specs in your post  It's a Turbolink 500w ps with 12v1/16A and 12v2/18A. According to this page Power Supply Manufacturers that power supply is manufactured by ChannelWell.

What are your system components going to be? MB, CPU, drives, gfx card(s), memory, sound card, pci cards, fans, lights etc.

I havn't got around to picking out everything, but for the idea of it all

Conroe e6600
1gb of ram(probably corsair xms2)
X-Fi Xtreme Music
160 GB HD
DVD-RW
CD-RW
Radeon x1800 GTO

And I havn't picked out a motherboard for the Conroe, I'll have to do some research.

I plan on putting a better cooler on the Conroe and overclocking it a little, maybe a Zalman, dont know what model yet. Also 3-4 case fans.

Was just wanting to make sure about the psu so it doesn't go out on my system and fry everything. That Zalman looks good but its for an Athlon, if I go AM2 I will probably get that cooler.

This zalman will work on the AMD 939 and AM2 so you should be ok. But on the PSU I,d get a A brand to be sure it won,t crap out on you like:

Power & Cooling
Enermax
Silverstone
Seasonic

And then I look at the:

efficiency
Regulation
Temperature (operating)
Noise

But the Regulation is the thing you should really look at.

I agree with the above poster, Sonata II case is a good one and can come with 450 W antec PS known for their quality.

BTW, I got an aspire PS, running perfect so far.
