Hello,

I have got HP Deskjet 890C. Sometime while
printing, the printer is stopping even in the middle
of the line and then both LEDs are blinking (one
is on, second is not, then second is on and first
is not - and it repeats to infinity).
When I press rappidly the first button twice, LED
is blinking with some special code - short, short,
short, short, long, short, short short.
The problem is only with normal mode printing
(not with draft) and is not observed during test page
printing.
What can be wrong and how to fix my printer?

Thanks in advance

These printers have outlived their usefull life. It is time to get a
new printer. I think that the 1200 is the current replacement. You
would also be happy with the Canon IP4000 if you print photos as well or
the IP5000 is you print load is swayed more to business documents and
less to photos.

Impossible, because I have got the new cardridge
which does not suit (I think) a new printer.
I must fix my printer - maybe buy the old one...

Thanks for answer.

There are several things that can cause this alternating power and feed
blinking LED's. See the following:

Are you sure about the blink sequence for the error code? Is the order listed
first to last or vice versa?

Try to get HP to help you. Look for HP customer support. Send
emails. You may hear from HP.
