Make sure fans blow air IN the front and OUT the back.

If you go IN at the back, you may end up drawing hot air from your PSU.

I assume your temps are idle and not when under full load.

You say you have a fan in front and in back. Did these come with the case or did you install them?

i use old case.. so need to install 2 fan..

System Temperature : 48- 53' C <---- is this case temps?

so still need to install 1 moe fan at top of casing?

looks pretty good to me, I've seen P4 D's hitting close to 70c in hot weather over here in Australia, and that was at idle. 8O

I'm not sure how your cpu is below the system temp, and for that reason I would ignore the readings if you can't figure out where the system sensor is.

That looks like each speed in Mhz, i.e. CPU clock is 3000Mhz, PCI is @ 33Mhz etc.

Try speedfan (google it) and see if that comes up with any temps.

I'd say it's quite possible that there's a problem here....

If you look inside your case is there a lot of dust?

ur temp seems good enough....if ur concerned, just open the side of the case, and add another fan to the side....u should be good...

After hours of modifying my PC to get it as cool as possible, I went from 4 fans (out-of-store) to a total of 11 fans

I made a really neat illustration with MS paint showing the locations and direction of the new fans installed......

If interested email at georgelouisseipel@hotmail.com and I will send you a copy of the illustration.

With this modifications, the normal operating temp of case and CPU dropped 20 degress F.

This was all done with a combinaton of
1. Good cleaning of mother board, case, and fans
2. Modifying and or removing cabling, old media hard drives not in use and all their associated cabling
3. Adding additional fans in the key ares of PC that generate heat on or around the CPU.

I developed this configuration with (2) things in mind

A. Since the CPU is alot like a brain....I though of
how the human head is set up as inspiration....

B. A jet engine

Again email back if interested in the illustration..it is in MS paint.

George

lol!

As for your problem, any intellectual being (or not) such as me :pt1cable: woould simply stick my hand in my computer case and sense the temperature. I usually feel the outside of the case, touch random parts of my computer (such as the edge of a HS, heat spreaders, the black squares for memory, little black boxes on my mobo called MOSFETS or something), or even stick my head in and sniff the air (yes, my nose i scent sensing, it also senses temperatures) to get an idea of the actual temperature. For example, the hsf on my old P4 is flaming hot, hotter than any ATI card, and BIOS tells me 45*C, so no way I'd believe that, I guess-timate around 65*C.
