Corsair or Geil???!!

Hi ppl! ...

am building a new high spec system and am confused whether to go for GEIL 6400 DDR2 2x1 (4-4-4-12) or Corsair 5400 DDR2 2x1 (4-4-4-12)... GEIL was on special offer here in the UK thats why u its as cheap as the corsair 5400.. ill be running this on the Intel 975xbx and E6300 CPU...

Geil is definitely faster but am concerned about the brand and its quality as oppsed to the corsair which are known for making high quality rams..



any help will be much appreciated..

it doesn't matter. they both have identical timings, thus the performance difference between the 2 will be almost nill.

get whatever's cheapest. both are quality memory manufacturers.

IF the Geil is in the QVL for your mobo go with that. Otherwise go with Corsair because theyre compatible with almost anything.
