I have two computers in different cities connected via a VPN. I would like
to share a printer between the two. I've tried using LPD/LPR but from what
I understand, that's a "send it and hope it gets there" protocol whereas the
el cheapo inkjets I'm using need more than that.

I've set up file and printer sharing. I can connect to folders, but I can't
connect to any printer over the VPN. (Local network is fine.) It times out
when I try.

Thanks if you have any suggestions,
HC

Eek - how careless of me.

The two computers are running Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP
professional.
