What is best graphic card for Mac Pro for 3D stereovision

Have a "new" 2010 Mac Pro dual 6 core with 5770 video card and do not desire to upgrade to 5870 card.
What is the best video card to get in order to setup a 3D stereovision NLE system? Can it be Mac OS or must it be Win 7 or 8?
I have FCP 7 and X, Premiere and Avid Media Composer, and need to learn them. It would be good if the card worked well with them.
I have found several Video cards on E-Bay that claim to be Mac 'EFI' enabled and are possibly/hopefully compatible with NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 and the recommended ASUS VG278H and BenQ XL2420TX monitors. So far I have not found any other 3D system info.
These cards are Quadro 6000, 5000, dual 4000, and the Nvidia GTX 550, maybe even the 570, 590 up to 690 video cards. Several of the Quadro's have the 3 pin DIN stereo output connector which might be possibly useful if I can ever locate the proper cable.
I would probably have to run this 3D setup using Bootcamp or perhaps Parallels or Virtual Fusion4 since everything 3D seems to point to using PC operating system. Fortunately I have all those software/applications and Win 7 Pro.
I am sure the professionals have working 3D Mac Pro systems but I have not yet found a proper configuration description online anywhere. In a world of 6 billion know-it-alls swarming the planet I can't be the only guy trying to do this.
I could of course spend several thousand dollars buying all this stuff and just playing with all the different permutations of the above hardware which would certainly be great fun but my landlord might object comes rent time. Always best to buy precisely what works.
Will some expert with a working Mac Pro 3D system please share his expertise; many thousands of 3D fans will love you for it.
