They're selling the fx55 for $369. Some venders are still trying to get $899. I feel sorry for them. They're stuck with cpus they paid too much for. Probably old inventory.

I would venture to guess that many vendors / retailers suffer on a large pop in prices, no matter who you are... suppose it depends on your inventory and ability to move it.
newegg has its purposes (for me) - when I can't find something I need anywhere else, and I need it. Most times their prices are reasonable. Your post was a general statement.... I don't have much experience shopping their cpus, though.
