i own an IBM notebook which comes with a combo drive that reads DVD and writes to CD-RW.
i recently noticed that it won't read the CD-ROM and CD-R but reads CD-RW and DVD-ROM. does anyone know why? is there any utility to determine if this is a hardware problem for sure?
