Hi guys, this one has stumped me. I recently purchased a K7VT6-c (my beloved Asus Nvidia chipset board blew). A few weeks later I purchased an Atrix 500T (650W compatible with newer ATX/BTX boards).
My problem is that with the Atrix PSU supply being used the K7VT6 board refuses to POST with my NEC 2510A writer on the secondary IDE channel. Move it to the Primary and its fine. Even when I've removed the board from the case, unplugged ALL other devices (and even used an old gfx card), switched round power cables and IDE cables, it still refuses to POST when the writer is plugged into the Secondary IDE channel.
Ive updated to the latest bios version and still it does the same thing.
The only difference is that when I plug in my old Codegen 400W supply, the board does POST with the writer on the secondary IDE.
How weird is that?
Any of you guys have any ideas? My first thoughts were the new PSU, but its just strange how its very selective between the two IDE channels to be the solely the fault of the PSU.
