What's your idle temp?
Mine idles at 40-45C and Probe just warned me that it's reached the threshhold of 45C.

I just installed mine last night and am also looking for more info on mobo temps and CPU temps (E6600)

Can someone please help, and also recommend some Windows based monitoring software with alarm triggers.

Thanks!

I have about 104-110F idle temps. Originally I had 140-150F idle temps but I put on a Zalman 9500 HSF and it appearently helpd quite a bit. I dont think 40-45C is to bad @ idle.

And I just use ASUS's Probe to look at temps for comp.

P5W board also has heat issues :(

There are threads here that explain how to eliminate the heat..............evidently it is either the northbridge and/or southbridge that produces the problem.

I e-mailed ASUS and they told me 45-47C is within specs but their OWN software is telling me there is a heat issue...............geeeeeeeezzzzzzzzz.

I am thinking about giving up on ASUS all together......................anyone know of another board that works better than ASUS?

I'm at work now, but the last time I checked my temp idle was around 40 @ stock speeds. I removed all my passive coolers on NB/SB and replaced with AS5 before I even powered my new build. I also have a Schyth CPU cooler. I was a little dissapointed to see my temps in the 40's, but I have given it some time for the AS5 to burn in since last I checked. I will recheck what my temps are when I get home to see how I'm doing now. As far as I can tell our temps are in line with what everyone else is reporting on these Asus boards.

I have played with my FSB a little, but yet to do any "real" o/c'ing. I run all my games at highest setting at 1920x1080 and get around 70-100+FPS. No real need for me to o/c yet since my components at stock handle anything I throw at em. Nice to know I got some good head room to expand when some more demanding game titles come out in the future.

Overall extremly satisfied with my new build.

The Probe software just warned that the mobo was 47C (threshold 45C) but it never went hotter than 47C after 10 hours of usage and it's been stable so I guess it's ok. Plus, my apart is hot as furnace so that may have factored in a little bit. I wanted to see what others were getting tho. Or if any experts can tell us that 45-47C is OK.

45-47C is nothing to worry about for temps. Sure, it could be cooler, but I'm sure no damage will result and since ASUS is fine with it, I'm sure the lifespan wont be shortened or anything like that.

I would guess a well thought out position for a cross-flow fan or two could easily drop the temps a few degrees. Just a thought.

I get about the same temperature 40-45 degrees celcius. But that's really not too bad. I dont think you should be worried about it despite of their application complaining about it.

My temps are 40@idle and 50@load usingAsus P5B-D and E6300@3.2 and a small watercooling system

When i used a D805@3.4 max temps were 75

Temps on E6600@maxload (65w) gives 61´C according to intel processor spec:
