I have a Deskjet 6840 with WIFI interface which allows me to print from
my laptop. I have a problem where the printer just automotically turns
off after a being idle for a while. I then have to manually press the
power button before printing. I can't seem to find a powersave mode
option, nor is the manual any help. Does anyone have idea what can be
done?
Thanks

My HP 6540 has a software enabled feature that allows disabling the
"hardware power off" setting of 30 mins.

Check in the printer settings or Toolbox.
