upgrading my processor

Im trying upgrade my processor but i dont know what processor to upgrade too. What would be a good upgrade from a amd 3200+venice.

what about a 4800 or a fx-60. would i have to update my bios for this.

well i updated them to 0702 i would do the latest one but it is a beta so i dont trust it. but the date of the 0702 is 1/31/06.

The FX's are still pricey. The X2's are cheap upgrades these days. If you're going to OC the CPU, Opertons are better for that overall. They will save you some money anyway considering the FX's are maxed out anyway.

Agree with Prozac: Either the X2 3800+ or the X2 4200. Higher if you want some more power. That board is an OK overclocker, don't expect more than 30HTT increase...That should enough to effectively make an X2 3800+ at 2.3Ghz, a bit slower than the 4600+.
